1. Create a Scenario
Go to Make.com and log in with your credentials. Click Scenarios and then + Create a New Scenario. Use the search bar to find the app you want to connect to. Search for Google Calendar and select “Watch Events” as the Trigger.
2. Configure your Trigger
First, you have to create a connection with your Google Calendar. Click Add and then Sign in with Google to set up the connection. You will be redirected to Google.
Once the connection is set up, you can follow the next steps:
- Calendar: Select the Google Calendar you want to use.
- Watch Events: Select By CreatedDate.
- Show deleted event: Click No
- Query: Add there a specific text that you wish to use in your Google Calendar. In this example, we will use the following Query: Fill out this form: Work Order.
- Event Types: Set to Default.
- Limit: Set to 1.
When the Trigger has been set up, click OK.
3. Create an Action
Click + to add another module. Search for MoreApp and select “Create Task”.
To configure this Action, set up the connection to your MoreApp account.
Note: If this is your first time setting up your MoreApp account in Make, you must add an API key.
Select the MoreApp form for which you want to create a task, and choose the recipient(s) who needs to receive the task. You can select multiple users or an entire group.
Add a message that the recipient will see in the push notification once a task has been created. You can use placeholders in this field.
4. Test your Integration
Once you have set up your integration, it is time to test if the connection is set up correctly. To do so, click on Run Once.
Go to your Google Calendar and create a new event. Select a date and time and add to the title of the event the same query you configured in the Trigger. In this case, it is "Fill out this form: Work Order." Click on Save.
If everything is configured properly, a new task will be created in MoreApp. A push notification will be sent to the selected recipient for the task.
You can activate the integration by turning it ON.
